Serving the cities of Zellwood, Apopka, Plymouth, and Tangerine

Z.A.P.T. is a community service organization whose mission is to aid community services and educational awareness for youth, adults and high school seniors residing in the Northwest Orange County Communities of Zellwood, Apopka, Plymouth, and Tangerine.

Z.A.P.T. was organized in 1970 through the vision and dedicated work of some civic-minded women. They observed the need within their respective communities and were committed to addressing this need.

Z.A.P.T. has achieved many significant accomplishments since 1970.

The following are examples: We provide scholarships to deserving high school students, serve annually Thanksgiving dinners to the community, provide Christmas baskets for the sick and shut-in, as well as sponsor Easter and Fall activities for the children and seniors citizens; made financial contributions to families and students in crisis situations; sponsor twelve Lynx bus benches for the communities, host an Annual Founder’s Day Observance; and assists other communities awareness and educational initiatives.

During Annual Founder’s Day Observance, Z.A.P.T. recognize “Caring and Sharing,” our Z.A.P.T. women demonstrate the true meaning of humanitarianism. They work hard in the community in the countless ways to reach out to the youth, adults, and senior citizens.
